Content Content Content

The 3 most important words in real estate? Content Content Content.

At least on the web anyway.

The web was supposed to be the great equalizer. Today, it is becoming more and more expensive in money and time to compete.

Arianna Huffington recently described her visit to the WebbyConnect conference.

The talk was about a trend that is already happening: the realization by a growing number of major media companies that the best way to succeed -- and make money -- in the Brave New Media World is to give away your content. Forward thinking companies are now adopting long-term growth strategies, and moving away from short-term profit-seeking....To its credit, CBS and other major players are finally realizing that the key to online success is community, community, community.

And you can't build community without showing your users that you are in the relationship for the long-haul, and not just a quick buck -- the online equivalent of a one-night stand.

This definitely is the trend. However, how does this fit with you? Do you have content? Is it just the MLS?

Because  so do most of your other competitor agents and websites have it too.

What are you producing that is of value on the web? Because, the online brochure just isn't going to cut it anymore.

I am a firm beliver that content is king. I should say unique content is king. I do use articles from places like ezinearticles.com, but only if it's great article and of use to my readers.

I run several sites and blogs. One of the best ways to boost your traffic is to have useful readable content and good onpage SEO factors. Off page SEO is just as important but if your site is truely great others will blog about it for you

Outside content(other than your compnay created content) conerns me on a branded site. However, if you are using outside contributors on a "supporting" site, I totally agree.
