MSN The New Google Slayer?

So what does the largest Software manufacturer do when it decides it wants to get "serious" about search?

Call their platform new.

-New relevancy (better than Google)
-New technology, with big words (like neural network  ranking and natural language)
-New search types-Targeted, Exploration, and Discovery
-New Spell Corrector
-Larger Index
-A newer-faster Index

And if you go over and do a search, we see spam, more spam and not much relevancy. Live 3.0 coming anytime soon?

Vista towards Google

Vista-
Definition:  view or prospect, especially. one seen through a long, narrow avenue or passage. 

Microsoft made its move for world domination yesterday. All kidding aside Vista has gotten great reviews for its interface, and bad reviews from geeks.

CNET is calling Vista just an expensive upgrade to XP.

So what does that have to do with online marketing?

IE7

Just installed IE7. This is Microsofts preview into what the new OS will be like.

It reminds me of a poor copy of Firefox with a Mac like interface.

Well, I am now on a trek to find a way to uninstall IE7 as it sucking my 1 Gig of Ram and shredding it to pieces. This thing is a memory Hog. Firefox and Opera are looking better by the minute.

Google has released its new sattelite feature that is tied to Google Maps.

How does Google Maps help Realtors?

Often times Realtors will link their MLS listing of a home or condo to a map. Well now you can link it to the view from space!

The home searcher benefits by being able to link the house for sale to a landmark.

Go to Google Maps and type in your address. Then click on satellite in the upper right corner of the top navigation

Virtual Tours for me have always been a bit cartoonish. They have always seemed kind of cool, but never seemed to have much viability as a marketing tool. They always made me dizzy.;-)

I will be making my real estate marketing predictions for 2005 in the next few days and one tool that I think finally has some possibility is audio and video.

MSN open for Business

It appears the MSN search engine is out of Beta and it appears the engine is feed is no longer feeding Yahoo data and this is MSN's home grown data.

Submit here to get MSNbot to visit your site, but it probably will be better to let it find your inbounds links. Time & Testing will tell.
