California Real Estate Commissioner Jeff Davi says the number of real estate agents in the state is beginning to falling.... At 541,000 licensees, California has more real estate agents than any other state - 1 in every 53 adults is licensed - but that number has declined from 2007 when there were 548,000 licensees.
That means in my neighborhood which has about 25 houses per block, that when I walk my dog I will bump into a Realtor every two blocks. Put another way, there is about 1 sale a year per blocks. So in the whole State of Cali, that leaves each agent one sales commission per block?
