Niche marketing is about finding an underserved market and then entering the conversation going on in their head.
A recent story in the NY Daily News identified a number of real estate segments that are not only underserved, they are disserved.
"The Department of Housing and Urban Development estimates that one in five African-Americans, Hispanics and Asians experience discrimination in housing transactions."
These segments are rising in population and income. In fact, a little known tidbit is that educated, African American, two-income earning households out earn the same White household. These segments are starving. Do you see an opportunity?
It is amazing how much discrimination is still going on today. It is really too bad. You would think anyone would help someone since they are getting paid. Too bad is all I have to say.

Yeah, we really should start profiling home buyers by stereotyping real estate marketing.
