I found this news very intriguing. A builder of townhouses in Torrance is guaranteeing buyers that they will not lose money on their home purchases.
"..it's true! BC Urban Development will guarantee that you cannot lose on your new home purchase by offering the first ever 100% guaranteed buy-back program in the history of L.A.... It's simple. If for any reason you decide you do not want your home, give the developer notice 3 1/2 years after your closing date and he will buy it back from you for the exact same price you paid.'
I live in Torrance and this ad was in the main Real Estate section in the Sunday Daily Breeze.
Brian Campbell, the 24 year old veteran CEO of BC Urban Real Development says:
Why shouldn't I guarantee the value of these homes? These are the strongest and best built homes in L.A. If they are not worth more money in 3 1/2 years I will buy it back"
The only stips I can find is that the contract has to be signed by the end of this month.
This is terrific marketing. He is putting his money where his mouth is and doing what everyone else-ain't. Plus he is saying to the marketplace, that he knows the homes have value now, and in the future. Which we all know that in L.A. he is making a very safe bet.
What a fantastic idea. And it's gotta be bringing him in far more buyers than offering free upgrades or financial incentives.
I'd love it if you kept us informed of the success of this marketing strategy. If it works, maybe the idea will spread outside of Torrance.

I too think this is a great incentive. But will the public?
I will pass this on to my builder.
