Is checking your Google positions your favorite time killer?
Come on be honest, doncha love just typing in "Your City" real estate and reveling in your ultra high position? Well, if that is true then make sure you sign out of your Google account because you are going to probably show higher than when you sign out of Google.
The reason is that Google is tracking your visits to your own site, and as part of its personalized search algo is positioning your site (that you visit all the time), a higher position than the regular results (which is where your prospects will come from). It does this by tracking your hits or clicks.
I'm still not first in google search results, but hopefully this will change in near future. Thanks for the nice hint, I'm sure it will be useful :)

Good point. Many folks think they are doing quite well on Google but the rest of the world sees the true ranking. This can be very deceiving!

I have checked my rank both logged into Google and without logging in. I don't see any change. Does the catch need to be clear or something?

The results from your account are based onyour behavior, so if you do not visit your own site a whole lot, or never use the account, it won't be reflective in your results. Then try using the search on a sites keywords terms that you use often.

I really don't think that Google tracks it like that. But It will definitely need some heavy link building and surely it is a dream come true for any one ranking for their city's real estate term.

Then I have a bridge I want to sell you.
People in my biz call most of Googles tools spyware. Can it be any more clearer?

Getting no.1 in Google takes a lot of time, hard work and some knowledge about Seo.
