Firstly, Bing announced earlier in the month an alliance with Apple to provide search. This is huge as it is well known amongst us online marketers that Bing provides a better buyer in most industries. And if we can get more of those searchers Boo Yah! 

 Meanwhile Google is making the lives of webmasters more frustrating. After hard selling the painstaking process of creating Authorship, they are now taking away its most obvious reward. The G+ image next to the search result.  This equates to a soon to be loss of click thrus.As the images have increased clicks on study after study.

Not anymore, that is going away.  Meanwhile, the head of Google Plus left last month and with him 1,000 employees. Leaving the question if the new Google has legs? This past week Google renamed what used to be called Places, then Local, and now it is called Google My Business. It is getting to the point of lunacy with this. As they still have Places documentation littered all over the search results.

 And here is another big warning I forgot to let you know back in April that Volusion Soft, a web design/ecommerce company got busted by Google for putting their link back to their site into the footer from their clients sites. A very common web designer practice and generally a bad idea.
